Seamen and officers are
selected and appointed under the Standards of Training
Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers (STWC 95).
The following
regulations and procedures are set in selecting and
appointing officers and crew.
(a) In order to be
selected as internationally qualified crew, all candidates
are required to complete the training courses offered by the Department of Marine Administration.
(b) If all the
necessary certificates are presented, their seaman documents
are checked to see whether they have the required sea
service and experiences on types of vessels they will be
appointed, such as; bulk carrier, log carrier, general
cargo, chemical tanker, oil tanker, car carrier, etc.
(c) Then the company
pool is checked to select only those who have met conditions
such as; service on the vessel until completion of given
contract time, obedience to the superior officers,
fulfillment of duties, cooperation and good relationship
with fellow crew, clean record against fights and argument,
and following of company's procedures.
Only those who meet
the above conditions are selected followed by a thorough
medical check up by the selected doctor. Those who pass the
medical check up are then selected. Their biography data
will then be sent to the foreign company for the approved
before assigning them to the appointed vessels.
We accept and provide
only the best.
